Exciting News from Our Director
On this blessed Epiphany…
I’d like to share some exciting news with you.
Beginning in early Feb. 2017, the Family Wellness Ministry (FWM) will be facilitating four regional interactive leadership conferences in cities within the Metropolis, including San Francisco, Irvine, Seattle and Phoenix. The aim of these gatherings is to meet the entire Family Wellness Ministry Team face to face and to learn more about this new and dynamic ministry—and how you can be a part of it. Please consider joining us—we’d love to have you.
Our goal is to share the vision of this vital ministry with you. Our FWM team members, some of whom are also sought-after speakers, will facilitate interactive workshops on topics within their areas of expertise, such as parenting, marriage and addiction.
The workshops will model ways on how to incorporate family wellness in your parish and offer concrete suggestions on how to build a family wellness ministry within your church community.
Finally, these conferences will offer an opportunity to connect and collaborate with others in your region—those who also have a heart for Family Wellness Ministry within the Orthodox Church.
A licensed marriage and family therapist and priest, I’ve seen first-hand how divorce, addiction, abuse, and shifting moral values can hurt and harm families. The Family Wellness Ministry was designed to help struggling families heal.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to seeing you at the conferences.
