Hieromonk Alexis (Trader) is the author of Ancient Christian Wisdom and Aaron Beck's Cognitive Therapy: A Meeting of the Minds. The grandson of a Methodist minister, Fr. Alexis was ordained to the diaconate, the priesthood and later made a father confessor on Mount Athos. He has been living in Greece since 1996. In 2005, he became the serving priest at a dependency of Karakallou (Mount Athos) at the Monastery of Saint Demetrios, in Nea Kerdyllia.
